A client sends a message to her neighborhood listserv that she’s looking for new backyard furniture.
A couple days later, she find a lovely wicker set sitting by the side of the road.
One friend says to another that he’s looking for a “clean break” with a community he’s been part of.
Five minutes later, he falls and snaps his collarbone. Clean break.
I get clear that I’d like to have a baby and want to find a partner ready to join me on that journey.
Before I even start dating, I meet a catch of a man at a party; less than a year later, we’re working on it.
These are just a few examples of a phenomenon I see everywhere.
The more I look for it, the more I see it.
Here’s the principle: When you place an order with the Cosmic Waitress, she delivers.
I’m not an expert in manifestation, and grew up extremely skeptical of such malarkey.
But over the last couple decades, I’ve come to a different understanding of how the universe works.
And though I can’t prove it with any peer-reviewed studies, I know life has just gotten better and better for me (and my clients, and my teachers, and their clients) when I operate as though my intention shapes my world.
Are you willing to believe your will matters in ways that don’t make sense?
Are you willing to see yourself as a powerful creator?
Are you willing to refine your deepest desires and intentions?
The more you do, the more you’ll create.
And when it comes to the Cosmic Waitress, the more specific your order, the better.
1. Let yourself know clearly what you want. Don’t worry about being “too picky.” Want what you want.
2. Get precise. Imagine it in detail. FEEL it.
3. Say it out loud. Write it down. Declare it loudly!
She’s not always prompt, and she’s not always linear.
She can be a trickster, like with my friend and the broken bone.
But stay aware, as best you can, of what you’re asking for. What you’re ordering. What you’re calling in to your life with your words and your longings.
And of course some of what comes towards us (or doesn’t) makes no sense. That doesn’t go away.
