Wild

I’ve coached a lot of people about their businesses this week.

There’s been a theme: Disconnection from the animal body.

I see it when someone tries to “figure out” a decision entirely from their mind.

There’s a felt sense about this kind of thinking—thin, fast, like the whine of a fly.

I’m getting allergic to it.

Because my wildness doesn’t like it.

(And neither does the part of me that loves watching people thrive.)

When we live from that buzzing headspace, the results might make sense on paper —

but they rarely feel good. (And honestly, the results aren’t usually that amazing either.)

Something as complex as running a business (or a life!) can’t happen just in straight lines with clear calculations.

There’s too much uncertainty, too much unknown, too much relationship.

A business must grow like a plant.

It must flow like water around rocks.

It must be pushed by mysterious forces that keep tulips blooming and seeds sprouting and wolves howling.

Wild means free. Natural. Alive. Beyond the mind’s conventions.

Something wild is vibrant, full of energy.

Pulsing with the unknown. Mysterious. Powerful.

Sure, wildness can be chaotic.

But chaos is creative. It’s how new things are born.

I’m not saying your business (or your life) needs to go feral.

But if you aren’t connecting with the wildness in it — with the wildness in you — you are missing out on an immense source of wisdom.

When you reconnect with your wildness, you open the door to surprise.

To ease. To miracles.

To outcomes better than you could have strategized.

To rest that’s actually restorative.

To decisions that feel like yes in your bones.

To success that feels alive.

Don’t forget:

You are an animal.

A sensing, pulsing, wild creature in relationship with life itself.

And life — wild, creative, unpredictable life — wants to move through you.

If you want some space to reconnect with that aliveness — to make a decision with your body, not against it —come to Flowing Business Office Hours next week.

It’s free.

It’s drop-in.

Bring whatever’s hot, confusing, or stuck, and we’ll listen together for what your wild intelligence is trying to say.

Until then — stay wild.

Ferociously yours,

Rachel
